When I set out to take a sabbatical leave at the end of 2023, I wanted to do some work in sustainability at the intersection of healthcare and climate change in the global context.
This was more a vision than a plan, and I couldn’t have imagined where this path would take me. I certainly didn’t imagine it ending up here, at a UN General Assembly event’s stage, discussing gender health equity in the context of the UN Sustainable Development Goals!
This whole year has been a repeated lesson on “if you can dream it, you can achieve it”.
So that’s the message for today: Dream big visions. But don’t worry that your vision is blurry. It will clear up as you go. If you take the steps one-by-one, you’ll get where you’re going.
