Water that is taken from some reservoirs is often already contaminated with plastic, because plastic waste decomposes into small microplastics and penetrates the groundwater. However, the greatest threat is during the bottling process, the bottle will crumble slightly and pollute our water. If someone likes to drink plastic soup, then please do so – says Agata Bloswick, a Krakow resident who has been trying to live by producing less waste for several years. She emphasizes that research is being conducted in Gdańsk, which has shown that due to the overuse of plastic, its microparticles can be found in human urine.
