Park Krakowian, commemorating the birth of a child, may be built in the capital of Małopolska. Registration for parents interested in planting a tree will start on Saturday. If the campaign meets with a response, it will continue.
The idea of creating the Park came from Agata Bloswick, an activist from the aDaSie group (a group that strives to change urban space). PO councilor Anna Szybist presented the project to the Krakow City Office, and the councilors accepted it. The creation of the Park is to be supervised by the Municipal Greenery Board. Whether the project is fully implemented depends on the interest of residents. At first, it was planned that anyone who has a child could plant a tree. However, in order not to limit parents, a decision was made that every child (under 18), not only newborns, could have their own tree in the Park.
