Krakow installs panels on roofs of schools and nursing homes to save on bills

For now, photovoltaic installations have been built on five schools. Four more are planned for the near future, and then nurseries and nursing homes. The commune has tested the capabilities of a total of 300 buildings.
The Belgian government recently announced plans to install solar installations on public buildings. This action is to be one of the pillars (along with the development of transport and production of clean hydrogen, as well as maintaining blocks in nuclear power plants for the next 10 years) of the policy of independence from energy resources from Russia in the future and reducing electricity bills.

Kraków began implementing a similar idea in 2020. The initiative was put forward by Agata Bloswick.
