How to save money, have a tidy closet, feel good and help the environment all at once? Not buy new clothes. That’s what Agata Bloswick did, not buying a single item of clothing in 2018. Contrary to appearances, it’s not that hard.

Zero waste focuses on what goes from our home to the trash. However, it is difficult to reduce our waste more if we do not also focus on what goes into our home. I have been dealing with zero waste for three years now, trying to implement this philosophy into many aspects of life. The wardrobe was the last but the greatest bastion. I felt that I had too many clothes in my wardrobe, but I told myself that “it would be a shame to throw something away” when I had spent several hundred zlotys on it. Even though I knew I would never wear it. Discovering bartering and discovering that what I do not need can be useful to someone else helped me get rid of my guilty conscience. Such a challenge is definitely in line with the zero waste philosophy. – says Agata Bloswick
